St. Patrick’s Day

Most Holy Trinity Parish has been celebrating St. Patrick’s Day since its founding in 1834. And, since 1954, we have held our largest fundraiser of the year, the “Sharin’ o’ the Green” on St. Patrick’s Day.

Our celebration has taken many forms over the years. In 2018, we celebrated on March 17 with a noon Mass attended by more than 1,000 people, followed by a luncheon at the nearby Corktown IBEW Hall. Approximately 450 people attended the luncheon, which included Irish music and dancers, a gourmet buffet, craft beer and more. Also, in 2018, we launched our first-ever St. Patrick’s Day Young Adult Happy Hour with about 75 people in attendance.

Our 2018 event raised more than $100,000 for our parish. St. Patrick was a missionary and visionary who brought the blessings of the gospel of Jesus Christ to the people of Ireland. Most Holy Trinity Parish follows the great example of St. Patrick by providing food, clothing, medical care, and legal assistance to the poor, in addition to quality Catholic education for children.

Save the date for Sunday, March 17, 2019 for our next St. Patrick’s Day celebration. More details to come.
